Cortex uses no cookies. Not one. What it does use is the browser’s localStorage, which is treated the same way in law — which is why it is set out here in full.

Strictly necessary storage

Required to provide the game you explicitly asked for, and therefore exempt from consent. Even so, nothing is written until you interact: opening the page and reading it stores nothing at all.

Usage measurement

Only if you accept it. Records anonymous events to improve the level design. Nothing is written and nothing is sent before your consent.

Changing or withdrawing your decision

Settings → Measurement → Change. Refusing is exactly as easy as accepting, in the same place and with the same number of taps. You can also erase all storage from Settings → Your data, or from your browser’s settings.

Third parties

None. Cortex loads no scripts, fonts, images or resources from any external domain, so opening the game reveals your IP address to no one but the server hosting it.
