Accessibility

Spanish Law 11/2023 (European Accessibility Act), EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.2 level AA.

Conformance status

Partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. The game was built with these criteria in mind from the start, but no independent external audit has been carried out yet.

What has been taken into account

Semantic HTML and a consistent heading hierarchy on every page.
Everything is reachable and operable by keyboard; focus is always visible and never removed.
Dialogs and the tutorial trap focus, close with Esc, and return focus on exit.
Minimum 4.5:1 text contrast, in both light and dark themes.
Meaning never depends on colour alone: memory tiles carry a number and their own tone, the robot shows its heading with an arrowhead, and grid states use symbols.
State changes are announced through aria-live regions.
prefers-reduced-motion is honoured.
Touch targets of at least 44 px on coarse-pointer devices (WCAG 2.2 requires 24 px).
Usable at 200 % zoom and reflows to 320 px wide with no horizontal scrolling.
Zoom is never blocked.

Known limitations

Recall presents a timed visual sequence. Each tile also emits its own tone, but the task remains difficult for anyone who perceives neither the visual nor the audible signal. There is no untimed alternative mode yet.
The puzzles can be operated with a screen reader, but the experience is not optimised for one: the board is described cell by cell and traversing it is laborious.
Not every screen reader and browser combination has been tested.
